Operation Fairway

Details

Columbus area visually impaired and other disabled veterans will gather for the inaugural Operation Fairway on July 11, 2025. They will spend the day perfecting their skills while enjoying a day of camaraderie, competition, and accessible golf – complete with adaptive carts, on-course coaching, and unlocking their boundless potential. The event is free for veterans. EVENT SCHEDULE: 9am-10am: Arrival and Registration 10am: Shotgun Start 10am-1pm: Golfing 1pm-2:30pm: Lunch & frisbee golf demonstration by Patrick Gray 2:30pm: Event Concludes

Adaptive Sports Connection is a 501 (c)(3), is dedicated to improving the physical and mental health for veterans and their families across Ohio. Through the power of sports, lives are being changed. Columbus area visually impaired and other disabled veterans will spend the day perfecting their skills as they prepare for the National Disabled Veterans Golf Clinic (NDVGC) in Iowa. The annual, week-long adaptive golf program in September is presented by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and promotes rehabilitation by instructing veterans with specific life-changing disabilities in adaptive golf.
