- Columbus area visually impaired and other disabled veterans will gather for the inaugural Operation Fairway on July 11, 2025.
They will spend the day perfecting their skills while enjoying a day of camaraderie, competition, and accessible golf – complete with adaptive carts, on-course coaching, and unlocking their boundless potential.
The event is free for veterans.
EVENT SCHEDULE:

10am: Shotgun Start
10am-1pm: Golfing
1pm-2:30pm: Lunch & frisbee golf demonstration by Patrick Gray

Join us for the inaugural adaptive golf event for veterans with disabilities.
Every drive, chip, and putt proves the power of ability.
Adaptive Sports Connection is a 501 (c)(3), is dedicated to improving the physical and mental health for veterans and their families across Ohio. Through the power of sports, lives are being changed.
Columbus area visually impaired and other disabled veterans will spend the day perfecting their skills as they prepare for the National Disabled Veterans Golf Clinic (NDVGC) in Iowa.
The annual, week-long adaptive golf program in September is presented by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and promotes rehabilitation by instructing veterans with specific life-changing disabilities in adaptive golf. - https://mediumspringgreen-eagle-137422.hostingersite.com/operation-fairway/

Boundless Freedom: Veterans Adventure Weekend is a three-day experience designed exclusively for veterans and their families. It’s an opportunity to get outdoors, take on new challenges, and build genuine camaraderie with others who’ve walked a similar path.
Hosted by Adaptive Sports Connection, this weekend is about honoring your service through action, adventure, and community. Whether you’re seeking a new challenge, peace and quiet, or a weekend of bonding with others who understand your journey, we’ve got you covered.
The weekend is free for veterans and their families, including all meals, lodging, and activities. Spouses, partners, and children are encouraged to attend. There will be a dedicated Kids Activity Area so every family member can enjoy the experience.
Lodging is fully accessible and located onsite at Recreation Unlimited in Ashley, Ohio, a 195-acre accessible campus with accessible steam trails, forest, prairie, a seven-acre lake, etc. - https://adaptivesportsconnection.org/boundless-freedom-2025/
